What does this comparison mean?
The RTX 3060 12GB to RTX 5060 Ti 16GB comparison is chiefly a performance-and-feature upgrade, with an additional 4GB of memory. Its 81% benchmark increase comes from comparing 257 FPS with the RTX 3060's 142 FPS; the smaller 12GB-to-16GB capacity change cannot explain or predict that result on its own. Keep the original RTX 3060 12GB distinct from the later 8GB version when shopping. A memory-resident workload that already fits in 12GB still needs its own application test before this FurMark lead becomes a purchase recommendation.
RTX 3060 12GB has 12GB and RTX 5060 Ti 16GB has 16GB of graphics memory. Memory capacity, board dimensions, power connectors and the price of a particular used card are separate from this benchmark. Compare the exact item before deciding whether to upgrade.
The two GPUs in context
RTX 3060 12GB
This RTX 3060 is the original 12GB GDDR6 Ampere configuration, launched in February 2021. The separately listed 8GB model must not be substituted for it.
RTX 5060 Ti 16GB
This is the 16GB GDDR7 version of the RTX 5060 Ti, launched in April 2025. Its 8GB sibling and the non-Ti RTX 5060 are separate variants.

How the figures are compared
Both FPS figures come from the owner-supplied GPUsed benchmark dataset. GPUsed reports a continuous FurMark run at 1080p for its physical-card checks. The percentage compares the higher model average with the lower one using the original FPS values. Our rating uses a compressed scale, with the fastest GPU at 100; it is separate from the percentage difference. A benchmark result does not predict gaming FPS.
GPUsed reports its physical-card checks typically last 30 to 60 minutes while temperature and stability are checked. The owner supplied the model-level FPS workbook on 2 October 2026; this benchmark dataset was last reconciled 3 October 2026. Historical cards tested are separate from the number of FPS runs behind a model average. Full benchmark method.
