What does this comparison mean?

The original GTX 1650 has 4GB; the RX 6500 XT here is the later 8GB version, not the familiar 4GB launch card. The Radeon leads this workload, but its PCIe x4 connection deserves particular attention in an older GTX 1650 system.

GTX 1650 4GB GDDR5 has 4GB and RX 6500 XT 8GB has 8GB of graphics memory. Memory capacity, board dimensions, power connectors and the price of a particular used card are separate from this benchmark. Compare the exact item before deciding whether to upgrade.

The two GPUs in context

GTX 1650 4GB GDDR5

This entry uses the original desktop GTX 1650 with 4GB of GDDR5, launched in April 2019. NVIDIA also lists a separate GDDR6 variant.

RX 6500 XT 8GB

The RX 6500 XT 8GB is the larger-memory variant documented by Sapphire, using RDNA 2 and a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface. It should not inherit the original 4GB card's result; adding capacity does not change that narrow PCIe connection.

How the figures are compared

Both FPS figures come from the owner-supplied GPUsed benchmark dataset. GPUsed reports a continuous FurMark run at 1080p for its physical-card checks. The percentage compares the higher model average with the lower one using the original FPS values. Our rating uses a compressed scale, with the fastest GPU at 100; it is separate from the percentage difference. A benchmark result does not predict gaming FPS.

GPUsed reports its physical-card checks typically last 30 to 60 minutes while temperature and stability are checked. The owner supplied the model-level FPS workbook on 2 October 2026; this benchmark dataset was last reconciled 3 October 2026. Historical cards tested are separate from the number of FPS runs behind a model average. GTX 1650 4GB GDDR5 uses the 55-card GeForce GTX 1650 4GB family total; GPUsed has not split it by this exact variant. Full benchmark method.
