About GPUsed and these terms

These terms apply to website orders placed with GPUsed Ltd. GPUsed Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 14566719. Its registered office, VAT number and contact details are set out in the company disclosure above.

Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts a consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded. If a separate written business, bulk-sale, collection or seller agreement conflicts with these website terms, the specific written agreement controls that transaction to the extent stated.

Products and descriptions

GPUsed mainly sells used technology. A product can show reasonable signs of use and can be supplied without original packaging or every original accessory. The listing identifies the model, condition, included parts and any material known fault or limitation. Product photographs may include either the actual item or a representative item where the listing says so.

Customers must check suitability and compatibility before ordering. GPUsed can help interpret specifications but cannot verify an unprovided or inaccurate system configuration. A recommendation does not replace manufacturer requirements, safe installation or a qualified inspection where one is needed.

Stock, prices and promotions can change. GPUsed may correct an obvious pricing, description or stock error before accepting an order. If GPUsed cannot accept an order, it will cancel it and return any amount received without undue delay.

Orders, payment and the contract

The basket and checkout allow an order to be reviewed before submission. An automated order acknowledgement confirms receipt of the request; it does not by itself require GPUsed to supply an item that is unavailable, materially mispriced, subject to a listing error or cannot lawfully be supplied.

The purchase contract is formed when GPUsed confirms acceptance or dispatch, whichever happens first. GPUsed may contact the customer before acceptance if payment, address, fraud-prevention, age, compatibility or other proportionate verification is needed. Payment must be made using a method offered at checkout. GPUsed does not receive full card details handled directly by the payment provider.

Website prices include applicable taxes unless the checkout clearly says otherwise. Delivery charges and available services are shown before the order is submitted. VAT and margin-scheme invoice treatment is explained in the business sales and invoices section below.

Business sales, prices and invoices

Unless clearly stated otherwise, website prices are the prices payable for the product and delivery option selected at checkout. Any tax treatment shown in checkout, the order record and the invoice is the authority.

GPUsed Ltd is VAT registered under number GB447219583. GPUsed provides order documentation and can provide an invoice. Many eligible second-hand goods are sold under the VAT margin scheme. For a margin-scheme sale, the invoice states "margin scheme - second hand goods", includes the required transaction details and total price, and does not show VAT separately. Other transactions can use normal VAT treatment where applicable. The order and invoice are the authority; contact GPUsed before purchase if a particular invoice format or recoverable VAT treatment is essential.

A customer buying wholly or mainly for business purposes should identify that before purchase where business-specific requirements apply. Consumer-only cancellation rights do not apply to a purchase made wholly for business purposes, although the stated GPUsed contractual terms and non-excludable rights still apply.

Delivery, ownership and risk

GPUsed accepts ordinary website orders for delivery to the United Kingdom, Guernsey and Jersey where the destination and service are offered at checkout. The selected Royal Mail service, charge and delivery details shown at checkout and in the order confirmation apply. Dispatch and delivery dates are estimates unless GPUsed expressly agrees a guaranteed date or service. Worldwide activity refers to separately agreed stock-buying or bulk logistics, not standard website delivery.

For a consumer order, risk normally passes when the goods are physically received by the customer or the person the customer identified to receive them. If the customer independently commissions a carrier not offered by GPUsed, different statutory risk rules can apply. Ownership passes after GPUsed receives full cleared payment.

If delivery is delayed beyond an agreed essential date, or beyond the legal delivery period where no other time was agreed, the customer keeps the applicable cancellation and refund rights. A parcel marked delivered but not received remains an issue for GPUsed and the carrier to investigate; contacting GPUsed promptly helps protect the evidence but does not remove a statutory right.

Cancellations, returns, faults and warranty

The Returns, cancellations and refunds policy forms part of these terms. It explains the 30-day GPUsed return window, the statutory 14-day distance-selling cancellation process, return costs, refund timing, faulty-goods rights and exceptions.

The 30-day GPUsed return window and 30-day GPUsed warranty run concurrently from delivery; they are one total 30-day period, not consecutive 30-day periods. The warranty is an additional contractual promise and does not end or replace statutory rights that can continue after it expires. GPUsed does not operate an in-house repair service, but will provide the remedy required by law and can offer a suitable replacement or refund where lawful and appropriate.

Customer responsibilities and website use

Customers must provide accurate order and contact information, keep account credentials secure and use the website lawfully. Do not attempt to interfere with security, scrape private or account-only data, submit malicious material, misuse promotions, impersonate another person or make a purchase without authority.

Product and website material belongs to GPUsed or its licensors. It may be used for personal shopping and ordinary linking, but not copied or commercially reused without permission except where law allows.

The GPUsed AI assistant and public agent files provide read-only product and service information. They cannot authorise stock, price, payment, refund, warranty, policy or completed-action claims. Current product pages, checkout, order records and direct GPUsed communications take priority.

Responsibility for loss

GPUsed does not exclude responsibility where it would be unlawful to do so, including responsibility for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or non-excludable consumer rights.

For consumers, GPUsed is responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of breaching the contract or failing to use reasonable care and skill. It is not responsible for a loss that was not foreseeable, for a customer's failure to follow disclosed compatibility or installation requirements, or for business loss arising from a consumer purchase. Business customers should agree any special continuity, installation, data, performance or consequential-loss requirements in writing before ordering.

Customers are responsible for backing up data before sending, returning, installing or using data-bearing hardware. This does not exclude responsibility that GPUsed cannot lawfully exclude.

GPU and CPU quote guarantee

For eligible working GPUs and CPUs, GPUsed guarantees to beat a current, verifiable, like-for-like net cash-buy quote from CeX, Techbuyer, GPU Workshop, Bits & PCs or SellGPU.com.

The guarantee applies only to submissions of one to four eligible units. A submission of five or more units is treated as a bulk deal. GPUsed will still aim to beat comparable offers where commercially possible, but no price-beat guarantee applies and the quote is agreed case by case.

To qualify, the competing quote must be valid when supplied to GPUsed, payable in cash rather than voucher or store credit, and for the same item, model, quantity, working status, materially equivalent condition and included accessories. The comparison is made against the net amount the seller would receive after any disclosed competitor fees or deductions.

Marketplace asking prices, auction prices, private offers, sold-listing prices, vouchers, store credit, trade-in credit, expired or unverifiable quotes, conditional promotional offers and non-like-for-like comparisons do not qualify.

If GPUsed accepts a guaranteed quote, the seller has seven calendar days to dispatch the item using the agreed route. Carrier transit after a timely dispatch does not by itself invalidate the quote. The item remains subject to the normal inspection and verification process. GPUsed may revise or withdraw its quote if the item, quantity, condition, authenticity, working status or included accessories differ materially from the information supplied, or if the competing quote cannot be verified.

For RAM, storage, motherboards and other PC components, GPUsed aims to be competitive, but any comparison is agreed case by case and is not part of this guarantee. The guarantee does not require GPUsed to buy every item and cannot be combined with another promotion unless GPUsed agrees otherwise in writing.

Payment for items sold to GPUsed

GPUsed aims to send payment on the same working day the item arrives and passes the agreed checks. Payment can be made by bank transfer or PayPal, as agreed securely with the seller. Bank or PayPal processing times are outside GPUsed’s control, so the time at which funds become visible can vary.

If the item arrives late in the working day, requires additional verification, does not match the submitted details or is part of a complex or bulk consignment, payment may take longer. GPUsed will contact the seller if a quote needs to be revised or further information is required.

Electrical equipment take-back

Where GPUsed is legally required, or has expressly agreed as part of a particular transaction, to provide an electrical-equipment take-back or related route, GPUsed will provide the instructions that apply to that transaction. Customers must contact GPUsed before sending or bringing equipment. Nothing on the website creates a general collection or take-back service beyond an applicable legal requirement or a route expressly agreed by GPUsed.

Optional checkout contributions

Customers may choose an optional contribution of 1%, 5% or 10% during checkout. A contribution is voluntary and is not required to place an order.

GPUsed passes 100% of customer-selected contributions to Lendwithcare, absorbs the payment-processing fees and transfers the collected amount monthly. If an order contribution is included in an applicable refund, GPUsed refunds that amount to the customer. GPUsed does not recover the refunded amount from Lendwithcare.

Contact-form enquiries

When a person submits a GPUsed contact form, GPUsed may retain their name, email address and enquiry details for up to 24 months after the enquiry closes so it can respond, follow up and keep an appropriate business record. Retention for enquiry handling is separate from marketing consent. Any marketing subscription must use a separate valid opt-in and can be withdrawn.

Changes, severability and governing law

The terms displayed when an order is placed apply to that order. GPUsed may update these terms for future orders. If one provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.

English law applies. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, but a consumer living elsewhere in the UK may also rely on mandatory local law and bring proceedings in the courts available to that consumer.
