What does this comparison mean?
These 8GB and 12GB mainstream cards sit fairly close in the benchmark. The 3060's extra memory does not by itself prove a large speed lead.
RX 6600 8GB has 8GB and RTX 3060 12GB has 12GB of graphics memory. Memory capacity, board dimensions, power connectors and the price of a particular used card are separate from this benchmark. Compare the exact item before deciding whether to upgrade.
The two GPUs in context
RX 6600 8GB
The 8GB RX 6600 scaled RDNA 2 down to an efficient 1080p card with a useful memory buffer. Its original price was not transformative, yet its lower power and practical gaming role gave it a clear place in the family.
RTX 3060 12GB
The 12GB RTX 3060 made Ampere's feature set available to a broad desktop audience and carried unusually generous memory for its tier. That memory does not make the later 8GB model equivalent, so each needs separate evidence.

How the figures are compared
Both FPS figures come from the owner-supplied GPUsed benchmark dataset. GPUsed reports a continuous FurMark run at 1080p for its physical-card checks. The percentage above compares the higher model average with the lower one; the score scales every model against the fastest GPU in the current dataset, which scores 100. A benchmark result does not predict gaming FPS, and the percentage may change with the benchmark dataset.
