Three routes that should not be muddled together

Desktop card

A display-equipped GeForce or Radeon card used for local models is still identified and valued as its exact retail or OEM GPU. Send the full model, VRAM, manufacturer and condition.

Use the general GPU route

Professional card

RTX PRO, RTX A-series, Quadro and Radeon PRO boards may have professional drivers, ECC memory or specialist outputs. The label and part number settle the identity.

Use the workstation GPU route

Compute accelerator

Passive PCIe accelerators, SXM modules and other server hardware need form-factor, cooling and provenance details before a commercial review.

Use the datacentre route

The evidence that prevents a bad AI hardware quote

Provide the exact manufacturer name, product label, part number, memory capacity, quantity and working status. Then add photographs of the label, connector edge, cooler and power connections. For server equipment, say which chassis or platform it came from and whether any carrier, baseboard, heatsink or interconnect is included.

Do not claim a card is working merely because the host server was working. If individual devices were not tested, call them untested. Separate cards with errors, damaged connectors, corrosion, changed firmware or previous repairs. A clean inventory makes a complex review quicker and avoids a revised valuation after inspection.

How the review works

  1. You submit the hardware facts. Workload descriptions are welcome, but exact identifiers drive the review.
  2. We check suitability and demand. A straightforward submission can receive a personalised quote in as little as 10 minutes. Specialist or multi-unit hardware can take longer.
  3. You decide. The quote is free and there is no obligation to sell.
  4. We agree transport first. Wait for sending, packaging or collection instructions before hardware moves.
  5. Inspection confirms the deal. Payment follows after identity, condition and working status are checked and approved.

Use manufacturer ranges as a clue, not proof

AMD’s official Instinct portfolio illustrates why accelerator family and generation matter. NVIDIA’s professional ranges similarly span workstation and server use. Product portfolios change; the permanent identifiers on the device are more reliable than an old invoice heading or marketplace listing.

Can I submit a complete AI workstation?

Yes. Use the complete-PC route and list every major component. If the value is concentrated in removable GPUs, you can also ask whether a component sale would be more practical.

What if the accelerator has no display outputs?

That is common for compute hardware. Include photographs of the complete device, its connector and cooling arrangement, then use the datacentre route.

One useful rule: never remove a heatsink, open a sealed assembly or power unfamiliar server hardware merely to improve a quote submission.
