Your receipt is useful for identifying the card and its purchase history, but it isn't a fixed guide to what a buyer will pay today. The exact version, whether it's been opened or fitted, its condition and the current market all matter.
Say if it's unused and sealed, opened but unused, or has been running in your PC. Don't open a sealed card or dismantle a working one just to prepare an enquiry. If you have an eligible retailer return available, check that option before choosing to resell; a buyback quote is a separate transaction.

Keep the useful bits together
Before the box disappears into the loft, check what you still have: original packaging, support bracket, supplied adapters and any other accessories. List these with the card, including anything missing or damaged. Use only the correct supplied or manufacturer-approved parts; a spare cable that happens to fit isn't necessarily a suitable substitute.
Keep proof of purchase available if we need to clarify ownership or the model. Send it privately when requested, not as a public review or social-media post, and don't include unnecessary payment details. Tell us if the card came out of a prebuilt PC rather than a retail box.
If the card has been repaired, modified or fitted with a waterblock, include that in the first message. A simple “working” description shouldn't hide a known issue.
Agree the quote and sending route before posting
For a valuable GPU, getting the packing and carrier arrangements right is worth a moment's care. Wait for our instructions and confirm anything you're unsure about, including the agreed parcel-value cover. Don't assume a familiar delivery-service name automatically covers the full card value.
